A day off..

very boring so far. It's so strange only having 10 staff here.
I woke up with a slight sore throat. So I went back to sleep until 12 it was glorious.
Then I watched My Fair Lady with Keylea. I called Visa today about my points so I can book my plane ticket. The CSR informed me that technically I can't transfer points between the cards aren't under the same primary card holder. Stupid stupid stupid. So my dad is going back to the bank today to see if they will honor the commitment to transfer the points.

So that's the extent of my day off so far..

Camp update

Last Day of Camp 2008!

Thank you for praying for Camp Sagitawa this summer. God has answered:
Many campers have made the decision to follow Christ.
Over 700 campers came through the programs.
We had great, warm weather so all programs could run as scheduled.
We had the staff needed to run the programs, and a place for each of them to stay.
We had 3 staff in the kitchen all summer, along with helpers that were needed.
God gave safety, and those who were hurt are doing well.
God gave strength, encouragement, & enthusiasm, which came in many ways & from many sources.
God provided finances for staff so they could be here all summer.
Family Camp begins tomorrow. We are trying a new idea - a week-long family camp. Pray that it goes smoothly and that we have enough help.
PR3, the final SWAT trip of the year, begins tomorrow. Pray that they will have a good, safe trip.
Please pray for those of us who will be staying to carry on the programs after everyone else leaves.
Bursary...
Please continue to pray that God will provide for the Staff Bursary Fund. Since we did not get any student placement working grants this year, those students are also applying for bursaries. As a result, we are $15,000 short in comparison to the average of what each person received last year.
Flight expense for SWAT Staff...
Naomi had the opportunity to travel to Ottawa with family in July, but decided to stay several weeks longer to help with SWAT and other camp needs. I encouraged her to do this because of her first aid training, and felt that it would be cheaper to purchase a plane ticket than to pay a first aid attendant for half the SWAT trips. Our transportation expense policy falls short by $450. Maybe someone would like to send a cheque to assist. (Sorry, Camp cannot receipt it and it has to be addressed to her.)

Chill in the air

Kid camps are over, now we have a family camp which was supposed go until Wednesday but I heard tonight that it will only last until Sunday now. Because of low attendance for the last three days.
I am cooking breakfast all by myself for Saturday and Sunday! I am working from 6:30 till 3:30 and then someone comes in at 7:30. Today we had a memorial service for the summer, and the fact that we will never have the same team back together again. We all wrote our favorite memories on the posters and took photos, then we put it at the bottom of a bucket with the jungle swing rope, and we dropped off the ledge under the jungle swing which is now closed. (it was considered unsafe by the accreditation people)
So I am here until the 1st of September. On the 31st I am going to a wedding of some friends I met at camp. They are to the coast so they will be driving Amelia and I home! I'm happy for a free ride and to finally get home.
Then I have my final exam for my course on the 5th.
Hoping to book a chiropractor appointment and hang out with my niece, I've missed her so much. I talked to my mom the other day who was saying that Jewel was asking when I was coming home, then she mentioned that she seems like she missed Corbett more the me. Which by the way, God has answered some prayers there, things are going much much better. Some things have been healing.
I am just waiting to book a plane ticket out to St John's. I am moving out there. To see if we can work things out!!!
About ten days ago, he told me that he loved me and it's been amazing to hear those words from him again. So I'm praying God's will for the future. You can definitely keep me in your prayers.. I have so much to pack. I'm torn and I hate to leave everything that we have. (so if anyone wants to buy a Furniture set in Good condition from the 70's -$150, and a Cherry Maghoany Bedroom Suite for $800, it has Queen Sized bed frame, Lingerie dresser, two Side tables, and a Large Dresser with a mirror)

Well I should share the computer with someone else now. I can't believe that I was gone for all of July and August.

So last praise item!! I am going to be paid for working in the kitchen for July and August, I was just hoping to get paid for August.. but I just found out that I will be getting paid!!

How was everyone's summer?

Last day of being 25.

Today is the last day of camp. Next week is the last kids camp of the summer.  Still not sure how I am getting home yet..

I finished my last chapter of school yesterday. I only got 100% on one of my tests. The rest I scored 93%, (yesterdays mistake was thinking that oils should be stored in blue bottles. Amber are much better)

I can't wait to get home and sleep in my bed, and not have to be in the kitchen at 7 am.(meaning I wake up between 6-6:30)

My poor body will be so glad for the change. My elbows have taken up aching. I love ibproufen. No more pain!

Yesterday my mom said my cats may not last much longer and they've been banned to the great outdoors for not using the litter box (poor parents) and that my flowers will probably bloom when I get home. How nice of them to wait for me!

Tomorrow we are going to do a pamper party for my birthday and watch Pride and Predjudiuce.

More then half way.

Halfway through my time at camp (about 20 more days before I head home)
On chapter 7 (of 9) in my herbal course!
and half way through my savings (which was very tiny to start with)
and only 5 more days till I am 26!
I finally feel this year that I am old. or at least 25. Trouble, heartache and stress sure makes you feel your age.
I really could use pray, my joints are aching. Some from the repeitive chopping of food. I think my body is fighting something because I was quite tired today, and not mentally but physically. I am going to sleep for a week when I get home. At least sleep in really late.

Two more weeks of camp left, so I plan to finish my course by this weekend so I can relax through the next week and enjoy everything. Then there is  family camp which I am staying for half of, then going home with a friend for a few days. Until a wedding on the 31st. Which I might skip to come straight home. I don't quite know yet. But I have plans for the future, which I will annouce closer to the happening date.

Well I want to hear Keylea's testimony so off to chapel I go..
